“Wait for me”
Baylies story is one of suspense, with some unexpected twists, and turns. It is not only a mother’s worst nightmare, but a tale of incredible resilience, and never-ending perseverance. Beyond the emotional torment, and confusion surrounding the condition of my daughter, there was a second story taking place. A new life was beginning, while one was coming to an end. There was a loss of control, heartbreaking decisions, and no manuscript for the process.
Through the heartbreaking decisions that had to be made, a trail of breadcrumbs left behind to guide us. The soul never dies, and love never ends. Although painful at times to read, there is hope for all of us, a truth that needs to be told, and a beautiful ending that will keep you pondering the meaning of life, long afterward.
The book was written as a tribute to my daughter, Baylie. Although it is the true story of Baylie’s accelerated life, it is much more. It is a story written through a mother’s journey, that resonates with many. Knowing that bad timing could choose any of us at random and that none of us are immune to tragedy, there is solace in believing that life is pre-planned. In the depths of despair, there was a beacon of hope, a flash of light, and faith that we are all here for a reason.
For as long as I can remember, Baylie had wanted me to write a memoir of my life. She decided to write it herself, and this book was initiated before the accident. Little did she know it would be about her. I was compelled to finish the story she started. It seemed as though life had been preparing me for this horrible tragedy, building the strength I would need to carry me through the darkest days. I began writing while sitting at her bedside, but despite my good intentions, the loss of Baylie almost destroyed me, and grief was all-consuming.
Fortunately, I waited. Two years after Baylie left us, her true message began to unfold. It couldn’t be ignored any longer, it couldn’t be dismissed, or misunderstood. Loud and clear, it was there, even for a skeptic like Scott. And without hesitation, we listened.
Baylie was guiding us on a journey to understand consciousness. She provided the proof we needed, the people who could deliver, and the evidence we had looked for. Baylie’s book is an endless love story, between a mother and child, a twin flame connection, a miracle we didn’t expect, and the possibility of hope for everyone reading it.
All that is true, and all that is real, is love.
This is the story of my life as I have experienced it.
Baylie’s story is one that needs to be shared with the world.
